Continuation: Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the NT Sabbath.

How was the law changed?

In order to understand how the law of the Sabbath changed, first we need to understand how it use to be kept in the Old Testament.
On the Sabbath day in the Old Testament, the people could not work on the Sabbath day.  If you were found working, you were stoned to death.  According to the Old Testament anyone you desecrated the Sabbath day would be put to death.  If you did any work on the Sabbath day, you would desecrate the Sabbath day and you would be put to death.  Also the priest had to present two perfect lambs and twelve loaves of bread every Sabbath day.  It was very difficult to keep the Sabbath day in those times. Now a days if you look outside on Saturday, you will see the Jewish people walking to the temple and you probably asked yourself, why are they walking?  They cannot drive because that would be considered working in the Old Testament.  They can’t even turn on a light switch or hit the elevator button to go down.  If you were living thousands of years ago, in the time of the Old Testament, do you think you could keep the Sabbath day?  If I lived in the time of the Old Testament I probably would not be able to keep the Sabbath day.  Do you think God wants us to keep the Old Testament Sabbath?

Jesus Christ came 2,000 years ago the fulfill the Old Testament law.  He did not come to abolish the law, we still need to keep the Sabbath day.  How are we to keep the Sabbath day?

John 13:15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.

How did Jesus Christ keep the Sabbath day?

Luke 4:16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. 17The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
18“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,
19to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”[e]

20Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, 21and he began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

As was Jesus custom he went to church and read from the bible on the Sabbath day.  We no longer have to keep the Sabbath day the way it was keep in the Old Testament.  Jesus Christ came to fulfill the Old Testament Law, the way the Sabbath needs to be kept was changed.  Comparing the Old Testament Sabbath to the New Testament Sabbath, which one is easier?  Jesus Christ came and made it so easy for us to keep the Sabbath.  The only thing we have to do is to go to Church on the Sabbath day, Saturday and read from the bible.  We can clearly see that the Sabbath day is not Jewish nor was it abolished.

As I mentioned in my previous posts, the Sabbath day was abolished by Roman Emperor Constantine, NOT GOD.  God had to come for a second time to restore the truth of the Sabbath day.  Christ Ahnsahnghong came and restored the New Testament Sabbath and now we can keep the Sabbath day and receive all of God’s blessings.
